Scalability and cost reduction of the surveillance system

Powering IP cameras over Ethernet (Power Over Ethernet) reduces overall costs when deploying video surveillance systems by using a single cable to transfer information and power devices. When using switches with POE, there is no need for additional equipment — power supplies, protective boxes and supply voltage wiring.

The ability to connect additional cameras or replace cameras with more modern ones with a higher resolution without expanding the network bandwidth reduces the cost of developing and upgrading the entire video surveillance system. The presence of backup network ports allows you to add new cameras or gradually introduce entire segments of video surveillance without changing the wiring of the entire system.
